INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT PROGRAM (IOP) FOR ALCOHOL ADDICTION

WHS’s Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) enables clients to receive essential Outpatient Alcohol Rehab Treatment locally in a comfortable and confidential setting. We take pride in offering a unique and truly personalized Outpatient Alcohol Rehab experience. The IOP program includes group sessions three times a week, each lasting three hours, with options for both day and evening groups. Typically, groups consist of 8-12 people. During these sessions, clients are introduced to a variety of evidence-based treatment methods, such as DBT, CBT, experiential therapy, 12 steps, relapse prevention, and life skills. In addition to group sessions, clients meet with their therapist for one hour each week. Overall, the Alcohol Addiction IOP Program comprises 10 hours of programming per week, with an average duration of 8 weeks. For clients needing detox or medical withdrawal, we collaborate with hospitals and detox facilities to ensure a safe withdrawal phase. Outpatient Alcohol Rehab allows clients to learn to maintain sobriety in real-life settings and is more cost-effective compared to inpatient residential treatment. However, outpatient treatment may not be suitable for everyone, and some individuals may require inpatient care. These concerns will be addressed during the initial assessment to ensure the appropriate level of care and fit for each individual. Call WHS at 832-669-9926 to schedule your FREE consultation.

INDIVIDUAL THERAPY DURING OUTPATIENT ALCOHOL REHAB

WHS offers one-on-one counseling, providing a safe and private setting for clients to talk to a licensed counselor. While group therapy and self-help meetings are integral to many people's addiction treatment, individual therapy offers the focused attention needed during recovery. Each week, clients have the opportunity to meet with WHS’s master’s-level therapists for a one-hour session. During these meetings, clients discuss specific problems, define personal goals, and address issues to be worked through. We invite clients to call our office to learn more about our individual counseling services.Program Details Our program includes at least one hour of individual therapy per week, offering a more in-depth and private therapeutic experience. Clients often find these intimate sessions beneficial as they provide a trusted space to express themselves. One-on-one therapy with our master’s-level clinicians can be profoundly helpful during addiction treatment by:

  • Providing a space to address sensitive emotional or psychological problems.
  • Focusing on motivational issues critical to sobriety.
  • Supporting the work done in group sessions to keep clients committed to treatment.
  • Developing and implementing action plans while setting realistic, attainable personal goals.

What to Expect Our private counseling rooms are warm and inviting, ensuring that every client feels comfortable regardless of their stage in recovery. After each session, clients frequently report feeling stronger and more positive. Our therapists are skilled at establishing goals early on in the process, moving at the client’s pace, and employing various treatment modalities to help clients gain clarity, strength, and motivation to apply learned concepts in daily life.Who Can Benefit WHS offers residents needing recovery support an environment conducive to achieving sobriety. Individualized counseling sessions can benefit anyone facing struggles, from crises to less severe issues. Those in desperate situations or experiencing thoughts of self-harm can meet with a private counselor. Additionally, clients further along in their journey may benefit from supplementing individual therapy with group sessions, offering a blend of effective strategies.

GROUP THERAPY DURING OUTPATIENT ALCOHOL REHAB

At WHS, we offer various treatment programs to meet the diverse needs of our clients. Many clients thrive in a group setting, which typically includes about eight or more individuals. WHS schedules Outpatient Alcohol Rehab group sessions three nights a week from 6 – 9 PM. Our group therapy combines evidence-based practices, experiential workshops, 12-step support, spiritual development, and life skills. Men and women from all walks of life benefit and are welcomed to our group sessions to share their journey towards sobriety.Program Details WHS group sessions are led by master’s level therapists and provide a collaborative environment where individuals can realize they are not alone. Sharing experiences in a group setting can significantly boost confidence and self-esteem, reducing stress, guilt, and pain. What are the Benefits of Group Therapy? Group therapy offers several advantages, including the chance to hear others' stories and participate in a supportive group environment. Clients find comfort in sharing their personal journeys in a non-judgmental space. Group members often resonate deeply with one another, providing support and understanding. Group vs. Individual Therapy While individual therapy focuses on personal issues, group therapy can complement it by providing peer support. Connecting with others can help clients break fears and face challenges with collective strength. Group therapy is not a substitute for individual counseling but an effective treatment blend, helping clients progress positively.

FAMILY COUNSELING DURING OUTPATIENT ALCOHOL REHAB

WHS believes in the importance of integrating family and loved ones into the recovery process. Family education about alcohol addiction and its impacts is critical. During Outpatient Alcohol Rehab Treatment, we invite family members for one or two days to become aware of the client's progress and learn how to support long-term recovery. Addiction is a “family disease” as it affects all family members. At WHS, we focus on setting healthy boundaries and rebuilding trust.
